Another win for Liven Willow Rise as construction kicks off
It’s officially go time at Liven Willow Rise – our vibrant new luxury resort style community in Southside Gympie – and we’re celebrating not one but TWO huge milestones!
Our recent sod-turning ceremony saw silver shovels, smiles all round, and a whole lot of excitement as Gympie Mayor Glen Hartwig officiated the event to mark the start of construction, joined by Councillor Warren Polley, some of our very first future residents and the Liven Communities team.
The event was a double whammy for reasons to celebrate this brand-new over 50s community in recent weeks, after Stage 1 homes at Liven Willow Rise sold out within 24 hours – yep, every home in the first release snapped up in just one day!
This first-of-its-kind luxury resort style community in Southside Gympie is in serious demand!

A sell-out success
Liven Communities Head of Developments Steven Wright said the response has been nothing short of phenomenal, confirming the high demand for luxury over 50s lifestyle living in Gympie.
“The fact that Stage 1 sold out within 24 hours of being released demonstrates the overwhelming need for well-located, quality new homes suitable for local downsizers,” Steve said.
“With many of these early buyers being friends or relatives choosing to relocate together, it’s clear that Liven Willow Rise will be a close-knit and connected community.”
A vision for Gympie’s future
Meanwhile, Gympie Mayor Glen Hartwig welcomed Liven Willow Rise as a strong addition to Southside Gympie’s growing housing landscape.
“This community brings an exciting new lifestyle option to our region, one that reflects the relaxed, connected and nature-rich lifestyle Gympie is known for,” he said.
“Liven Willow Rise not only provides high-quality housing options for over 50s but also allows Gympie residents to stay connected to family, friends and community, without having to move to other retirement locations.”

Why’s everyone saying yes to Liven Willow Rise?
After the success of Stage 1 homes, we asked the go-to-guy for all things Liven Willow Rise – Sales Executive Tom Midgley – what’s got everyone buzzing about this new community.
Tom said solo groovers and duo movers have been motivated by detailed renders that highlight the generous, stylish home layouts – all bespoke to Liven Willow Rise! Many buyers were also drawn to the appeal of low-maintenance living, the comfort of familiar faces in the community and the chance to make new friends in the neighbourhood.
“Word spreads quickly in a town like Gympie,” Tom added. “It’s a close-knit community, and people talk. They want to live somewhere they feel comfortable, where they already know their neighbours.”
Each home features two bedrooms, two bathrooms and the option of a single or double garage – with some also boasting a handy multipurpose room (craft room, zen den – your call!).
You’ll also have a luxury clubhouse and an abundance of amenities right on the doorstep of your stunning new home including a swimming pool, spa, gym, golf simulator, cinema, bar, lounge, BBQ areas, tennis and pickleball courts (and much much more!).

What’s next?
With the first home slab expected to be poured by the end of this year, the first residents will be moving into their new homes in 2026.
