An open road explorer’s adventurous spirit never retires
A lock-and-leave lifestyle in a vibrant community was the motivation for Lorraine Amato to take the plunge and purchase her dream home at Liven Beach Road.
Lorraine loves life as an open road explorer.
With her dream campervan in tow, she loves to live life to the fullest and explore different parts of Queensland – or go further afield to visit family and friends in her hometown of Perth.
The only missing piece of the puzzle was a luxury yet low-maintenance place to call home when she’s not off exploring.

After years of looking after a four‑bedroom house in Burrum Heads with a pool and a garden, she was ready for a change. “I’m over cutting the lawn and pulling weeds out,” Lorraine joked. “I’ve sold my lawnmower. I don’t want to have to worry about lawns, garden or a pool anymore.” This was what attracted Lorraine to Liven Beach Road. The low‑maintenance design of the homes, coupled with luxury onsite amenities, will allow her to spend more time doing the things she loves. “I can go to the gym and go to the pool when I’m at home, and don’t have to worry about getting someone to test the pool or mow the lawn when I go away,” she said.
Liven Beach Road’s convenient location in Urraween was another big appeal for Lorraine, as she no longer has to commute into town for things such as shopping, exercise or catching up with friends.
Although Lorraine won’t call Liven Beach Road home until early next year, she’s already started to make friends with other future residents. Connected by Liven Sales Executive, Cheryl Andreula, the group have had several coffee catch ups in Hervey Bay to get excited about the future.
“Cheryl has been great – she’s fabulous,” Lorraine said. “She’s like family. You can go in there [the Liven Beach Road Pop Up] and have a chat to her about whatever. The future residents she’s connected me to are real down-to-earth people. It’s great to be able to meet up for coffee with them or call them up for a chat.”
With three bedrooms, a double garage and parking space for her campervan, Lorraine still has plenty of room, as well as space for friends and family when they visit. “I didn’t want to move into something tiny because I’m used to having bigger houses,” she said. “I can’t wait.”
Lorraine is counting down the days until she moves into her luxury home at Liven Beach Road, which will be decked out with modern appliances, ready for her to settle in and start enjoying Liven’s vibrant lifestyle.
